If you look at the photo on my bio, you can see the beautiful, colourful scarf I’m wearing. I love it so much and I wear it a lot, probably too much! It’s from a fashion brand called Scamp and Dude, who are known from their colourful leopard print designs with their trademark lightning bolt. @Scamp and Dude hold a special place in my heart. They were the first brand I bought when I had reached a 3 stone weight loss and wanted to celebrate. Quite simply, their clothes are amazing. Beautiful cuts that flatter a woman’s body with colours and designs that stand out and make you feel special. I must confess that I now own 4 dresses and 2 skirts but what is a girl to do when they keep coming up with more gorgeous things all the time!
To give you a bit about their story, they were started as a kids’ brand. Jo Tutchener-Sharp, the founder, launched Scamp & Dude in 2016 when she was separated from her children during a stay in hospital undergoing lifesaving brain surgery. As the site states, it was this brush with death, and missing her children, that made her determined to give back and create a brand that helps children feel more secure by filling them with superpowers when apart from their loved ones.
The brand expanded into adult fashion but still gives back to others. They previously launched their #SuperScarfMission with the aim of donating a Super Scarf to every woman starting chemo treatment across the UK. Likewise, for each Superhero Sleep Buddy sold, another is donated to a child who has lost a parent or is seriously ill themselves.
I visited their store in Battersea Power Station where I was served by their really helpful staff and my poor tired husband was able to sit and relax on a comfortable sofa. Yes, I bought more than I intended to but as I told myself it was all towards a good cause and I felt fabulous for the first time in a very long while
So, take a look at their site today www.scampanddude.com
I defy anyone not to smile when you buy something in leopard print, colour and lightning bolts!
